Every baker needs a basic muffin recipe in their collection, and today I'm so proud to be sharing mine. Don't let the name fool you--this recipe makes the most stunning muffins with gorgeous, tall tops and perfectly moist, fluffy interiors. Even better, it can be adapted to suit whatever add-ins you like!

Big, beautiful, and buttery coffee cake muffins are quite possibly my favorite muffins ever. Essentially the handheld version of my favorite sour cream coffee cake, these are absolutely perfect for serving to houseguests or as an afternoon pick-me-up (with a cup of coffee, of course!).

Sourdough bakers, I have another treat for you! Today's sourdough pumpkin muffins can be made with sourdough discard or active sourdough starter. They have everything you'd want in your pumpkin muffins: super tender and moist texture, robust pumpkin flavor, and enough sugar and spice to keep things interesting. I just love them!

Another variation of my beloved banana muffin recipe, these chocolate banana muffins are super straightforward and simple. They have a delightfully tender texture, rich chocolatey flavor, and gorgeous tall muffin tops (you know how I love those!).

Soft and tender sourdough banana muffins are the latest addition to my growing sourdough collection. This recipe incorporates sourdough discard into a rich banana muffin batter for a melt-in-your mouth, incredibly flavorful experience. They may look modest, but the taste is amazing and truly straight out of a bakery!

Were mini muffins a favorite snack of yours as a kid? If so, were you team blueberry or chocolate chip? 🫐🍫 Chocolate chip was usually my favorite (no surprise there!), but honestly, blueberry was right up there too!

Need a fast side dish? My 100% from-scratch corn muffins take just 10 minutes to prep and are oh so satisfying. They are both moist and flavorful, and you can serve them with just about any dish. Try them once, and I promise you won't reach for that little blue box ever again!/p>]]> https://sugarspunrun.com/corn-muffins/feed/ 19 https://sugarspunrun.com/gingerbread-muffins/ https://sugarspunrun.com/gingerbread-muffins/#comments Wed, 18 Dec 2024 13:00:00 +0000 https://sugarspunrun.com/?p=73307 Soft and spiced gingerbread muffins are the perfect Christmas morning treat! My version makes tall, sugar-sparkled muffins with moist interiors. Recipe includes a how-to video!

A muffin twist on classic gingerbread, these gingerbread muffins are the perfect match for your Christmas morning coffee or hot cocoa. They are loaded with flavor and so moist with a soft, slightly dense texture (similar to my gingerbread).

If you love my classic chocolate chip muffins, just wait until you try this sourdough version! Today's sourdough chocolate chip muffins are the sister to my sourdough blueberry muffins. They have a tender, moist, and perfectly buttery crumb that simply melts in your mouth./p>]]> https://sugarspunrun.com/sourdough-chocolate-chip-muffins/feed/ 11 https://sugarspunrun.com/pumpkin-chocolate-chip-muffins/ https://sugarspunrun.com/pumpkin-chocolate-chip-muffins/#comments Mon, 30 Sep 2024 12:00:00 +0000 https://sugarspunrun.com/?p=68453 Learn how to make the perfect pumpkin chocolate chip muffins completely from scratch. These are a moist and perfectly spiced fall treat, with just the right touch of chocolate. Recipe includes a how-to video!

Today I'm sharing a super moist and fall-spiced muffin. My nephews really loved these pumpkin chocolate chip muffins and gave their stamp of approval (which I take very seriously!). They are tender with tall bakery-style muffin tops and they come together so quickly and easily. The flavor is amazing. I can't wait for you to try them!

We have a growing number of sourdough fans around here lately (yay)! After sharing pancakes, brownies, cookies, and more, lots of you have asked how to incorporate your sourdough discard into even more recipes, like my double chocolate muffins. After some tweaking, we came up with the most irresistible, moist, and chocolatey chocolate sourdough muffins there ever were!

These chocolate chip zucchini muffins actually debuted on the blog years ago. Today, I'm slightly adjusting the recipe to make an even dozen muffins (with just a bit more chocolate!) and sharing some new photos too. If you were a fan of the old recipe, you'll like this one just as much!

These moist, tender, fluffy, and oh-so-flavorful carrot muffins are absolutely perfect for spring! They're not as sweet as carrot cake, but I do top them with just a sprinkling of turbinado sugar, which adds the perfect touch of sweetness and a lovely textural crunch.

Last year when I shared my cranberry white chocolate muffins, so many of you requested instructions for making them into cranberry orange muffins, and for good reason! Cranberries and oranges go so well together, and they are the perfect autumnal/winter combination (besides pumpkin and spice, of course).

This cinnamon muffin recipe has been a hit in my family for years! We always made them as mini muffins (and called them "cinni-mini-muffins") and would devour a whole batch in minutes. Today I'm sharing an updated (just the photos!), full-sized version of this recipe, but you are still welcome to make the mini, just like we used to.

My popular best banana muffin recipe is getting a chocolatey boost today! These chocolate chip banana muffins are tender, moist, and full of chocolate banana flavor. They are incredibly simple to make and come together in minutes--perfect for a last-minute breakfast treat!

If you've ever been disappointed by bland, dry, so-so muffins, prepare to be amazed! These peach muffins start with my favorite tender and moist basic muffin recipe, but we're taking it to new heights with brown butter and bright pops of fresh peaches. Yum!

If your garden is bursting with zucchini and simply you can't bear to make one more loaf of zucchini bread, I've got you covered! These chocolate zucchini muffins are an easy and tasty way to use up summer zucchini or sneak veggies into a sweet treat. They are moist, fudgy, and incredibly chocolatey, thanks to the zucchini and a few other carefully selected ingredients.

Before I talk about these sourdough blueberry muffins, I think I should admit that I might have a bit of a blueberry muffin obsession. If you've been following along, you know that I recently shared a recipe for blueberry muffin cookies that is simply incredible (if I do say so myself). I also have classic blueberry muffins, plus blueberry cream cheese muffins. How many blueberry muffins recipes is too many?

If you're nutella fan, then you're probably totally fine with spreading it on crepes, fruit, or let's be real--eating it straight out of the jar. All of those options are fine, but the ultimate nutella experience comes in the form of nutella muffins! Picture it now: soft, tender vanilla-flavored muffins with a rich and gooey nutella filling and sparkly nutella swirled tops...heavenly, right?

These cranberry muffins are so soft and fluffy, and each is bite packed with an array of flavors, from warm notes of vanilla and surprise pops of tangy cranberry, to sweet bits of white chocolate.

These super moist and fluffy double chocolate muffins are one of my favorite ways to eat chocolate for breakfast (chocolate biscotti are always a good option too!). They have a pronounced chocolate flavor (thanks to blooming the cocoa powder) but aren't too decadent or rich, so they still feel like a muffin rather than a chocolate cupcake!

If you thought you loved my regular pumpkin muffins, just wait until you try this cream cheese-stuffed version! These pumpkin cream cheese muffins are perfected to be moist, not too sweet, and just the right amount of indulgent (although I'm 100% unopposed to eating sweets for breakfast; have you seen my pumpkin coffee cake?!). The very best part is what's inside: a sweet, cheesecake-inspired surprise that you wouldn't suspect from the outside.
