I made these and they were to die for. However, my 1 T cookie scoop (I measured to be sure) only yielded 17 cookies. They were amazing. Next time I’ll use a T measuring spoon instead of the scooop.
SO yummy.

Well done Sam! These cookies are better than the original. The topping is perfectly firm but not too dry, and the cookies are fantastic on their own.

Fixed these for some folks at work that said they are very good cookie. Made them took them in and the response was that these were better than the ones they were used to. Only thing used was coconut milk since do not have any regular milk just sitting around and it has a longer shelf life.

Made these today for my former-Baltimorean boyfriend [formerly of Baltimore — not formerly the boyfriend :)].
He said they tasted fantastic and definitely tasted authentic.

I don’t think I’ve ever been let down by a recipe from here. These were no exception. I was looking for something new to make and found these. Even without the icing (I have 4 very impatient children who may get that impatience from me) these cookies are delightful, the icing is a delicious addition too though! I do not have cake flour so I subbed a couple tablespoons of all purpose flour with corn starch, I also used my homemade vanilla and was generous with it. Now I have no idea what these cookies are actually supposed to taste like as a Canadian but the ones I made were delicious!

As a Baltimore native I can’t wait to try your recipe. I made Berger cookies awhile ago using a King Arthur recipe and it didn’t even come close to a real Berger cookie. I hope yours does . Thanks for sharing.

As a Baltimorean, these are LEGIT. Tastes exactly like a Berger cookie! I made my own corn syrup with water/sugar and used regular cocoa powder and still tasted just like them to me.
