It won’t rise. It can only take the shape of the pan you put it in so if your first pan was too large the fudge would have spread a bit more than it should. I’m glad you were able to enjoy it the second time. 🙂

In reply to Sam Merritt.

it was very flat and did not set well. I made another batch and put in a loaf pan much better results.

I’m so sorry to hear this happened! What do you mean by “it didn’t look like the picture”? How did it differ?

Hi Geoff! That’s odd! The only thing that would make sense to me is that it may not have been mixed well enough. 🙁

Hi Katrina! I’m not sure how it would turn out. You are changing the recipe a good bit at that point. If you do try it let me know how it goes! 🙂

Thanks

This was the MOST easy and delicious fudge! I doubled the salt, because I only had kosher salt on hand. I prefer a very firm fudge, and when another reader mentioned this is a softer fudge, I upped the chocolate chips to 420 grams. Truly perfect, delicious, and a recipe I will be saving in the family cookbook!

So far, so good, I’ve spent several precious hours looking for candy recipes and decided on this one. It was easy and quick and tastes great. Now it is sitting in the fridge and the burning question is “Will it set up hard enough for little squares?” I just tried and failed Divinity earlier and Christmas is drawing near. Anyway thanks for this recipe. I will be tryig some of your others.

Good but too soft. My usual recipe calls for 3 cups of chocolate chips. My fault because I was too lazy to search for my recipe since I haven’t made fudge for a few years so I searched online. After I made your recipe I found mine to compare. Similar recipe but mine had more chocolate chips making it easier to slice and hold it’s shape. It still tastes good but doesn’t plate up as nicely with other Christmas treats as my usual fudge recipe did.

Debbie, I do and it is delish. Microwave 14 Oz. Sweetened condensed milk, 12 to 14 ounce white chocolate chips until melted, in 1 minute increments. Stir in pinch of salt, 1 tsp of vanilla and 3/4 cup peanut butter, whatever type you like, I used chunky. Pour into a lined 8×8 pan. I lined mine with non stick foil and refrigerate until firm, approximately 3 hours. Can be stored for up to 3 days in refrigerator and frozen for 1 month.

This was truly simple and easy. I cooked all the ingredients stirring constantly and I used great value semi sweet chocolate chips. This was awesome to make!!!

This is great and very easy fudge! My husband loves my fudge which is his mom’s and my mom’s recipe. Cocoa, sugar, milk with vanilla and a tbsp of butter. Cook to soft ball stage and put in a buttered pie plate. I always wondered why it was a little grainy. Ow I no why! Thank you so much. If my husband likes it, it will be my new go to. ❤️👍

Hi Jeanne! This really needs to set at room temperature or even in the refrigerator. The brand of chocolate chips may have also caused an issue here. I hope it turns out better next time.

When taking it out to slice, it became soft, mushy and hard to slice. Put back in freezer. Needless to say I’m disappointed as I made alot of this fudge.
