I love this chicken dish. It’s quick enough for a weeknight, but could be fancy enough to serve to guests. I usually use cooking sherry instead of wine because if I open a bottle, I have to drink the rest! Thanks for the recipe.

Yummy!! I use Muenster cheese every time I make my French onion soup. So that’s the cheese I used for your recipe. It browns well under the broiler and is ooey gooey! Forget the chicken! Made some ciabatta bread to dunk instead of making mashed potatoes.

Just made Sunday dinner and delicious! Refreshing to have that French Onion flavor but the salt level is dialed down from the soup packet one is used to. Nothing like making it from scratch. Yum!

I saw this recipe in my email, and I knew I had to try it. These are all ingredients that are normally found in a stocked pantry. , I used sharp slicing provolone cheese, and that topped it off perfectly. Thanks for another easy way to get a protein-filled dinner, Sam:)

In reply to Stewball. The beef broth will give you a more authentic and richer french onion flavor than if you were to use chicken broth. :)
