Hi Kathy! These shouldn’t crack if freezing after finishing them. 🙂

They turned out so good!
Do they not crack if you freeze them?

Hi Bethany! I haven’t personally tried that method so I can’t say for sure how it would turn out. I’d prefer the frosting as a binder. 🙂 I’m so glad you enjoyed these! 🙂

There is this method called the “cool down” method, where you take the cake out of the oven and you immediately cover it with aluminum foil and leave it on the counter for a couple of hours. The moisture traps and then you can mix it in the stand mixer and it becomes cake pop dough. So you don’t have to do the frosting as a binder. Wondering if you have heard of it or tried it? Either way, I did this recipe last week and it was so much better than cake mix cake pops. ❤️

I’m so sorry I missed this one, Denise! It can get a little messy, but that’s part of the fun, right? I like to use gel food coloring to die things. You need less to get a better color. Happy early birthday, Cal! 4 is such a fun age. 🙂

It’s a work in project to actually get the coating of chocolate on them tidy, a little messy I’m afraid hahaha My question I have for you is this, I want to color the white chocolate red. What is the best food coloring for it?
Hope to hear from you soon, I need to make them for my grandson’s birthday. By the way, he tasted the ones I made and gave me a thumbs up. Cal will be 4 in April.
Denise

Thank you
Denise

Hi Emma! You can just mix some sprinkles into the batter. 🙂 I’m so glad you’ve enjoyed everything so much. Congratulations on your new position at home! 🙂

I want to make these for my sister’s birthday. Could I turn this into confetti cake? Or potentially color the cake? If so, what is your recommendation for doing this? I’d like your advice because your recipes are always great and I don’t wanna mess it up! I just made your red velvet cupcakes and they were to die for, so now my mom is rubbing me our resident baker haha.

Hi Abby! Olive oil can impart a flavor, but if you use a light olive oil, it should be minimal. If you are concerned, we’d recommend sticking with vegetable, canola, or avocado oil instead.

With this recipe, it says the oil can be vegetable, canola, or olive oil. Does the olive oil change the flavor of the cake pop? In most other recipes I have tried with sweets, the olive oil changes the flavor drastically. Thanks!

Hi Becky! Unfortunately, I haven’t experimented with making them strawberry flavored so I can’t say for sure how to do it.

I have made these before and they turned out perfectly! I’m having an ice cream themed party for my daughter and I was wondering if there’s a way to make these strawberry flavored? I want to do chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry cake pops and cake popsicles. Thank you for your help!

Followed directions but cake was too soft after taking a bite fell off the stick wonder what ingredient would help hold together better?

I used your recipe to make cake pops from my friends 60th birthday party. As a small at home baker, I have tried so many other recipes and this one is hands down the BEST!! The flavor and texture were delicious!!! Everyone raved about them!! Thank you so much and this will be my ONLY go to recipe going forward💕

Hi Mary! Honestly, it’s so hard to say without trying it. I think for a bold raspberry flavor you’d probably want to flavor the cake too. 🙂

Then I saw your recipe for raspberry butter cream frosting and thought, that could make for delicious cake pops (with pink icing)! Do you think the flavored icing would be enough, or would the cake also need raspberry flavoring?

Hi Trinity! This recipe is made with half of what your box cake mix will make so you would likely need to double the frosting recipe.
