In reply to Anne Healy. Hi Anne! You can freeze the dough balls. Honestly I don't even think you would have to thaw them before baking, just add an extra minute or two to the bake time. :)

I love this recipe and I make it all the time, but now my baby has CMPA so I can’t use butter anymore. Is there a good alternative I could use instead?

I made this recipe with gluten free measure for measure flour. Because of this, I used the spoon and level method to measure instead of grams for the flour. The recipe came out PERFECT. I saved it to my bookmarks and will make them again! The flecks of chocolate are so nice and browning the butter makes a huge difference. Bakery level cookies!

No, I dont have a scale to weigh the flour. I did the scoop and level method. The cookies turned out fine after they were baked, though!

These cookies are great and really straight forward which I love! I have a question, id like to prep these a couple days before hand as I’m making different cookies for the holidays and baking them on the same day. Can I stuff the dough with the Nutella and freeze for a few days maybe a week?

After having a Nutella stuffed cookie at Crumble I went searching for a recipe. Yours is delicious! It was time intensive but so worth it! I think I may have overworked the dough as the cookie was a little tough but it tastes so good no one noticed (but me!). Of course, it could also be that I chose to not use the chopped chocolate and to substitute chopped hazelnuts! I’ll use both next time, work the dough less and see what happens. Thanks for the recipe and your video directions.
