I’m so sorry to hear this happened, Caroline! Did you let the strawberry reduction cool completely?

Made this for my daughterโ€™s baby shower and the only problem I had was some strawberries were not smashed enough and was getting stuck in the pipe tip which made a mess of the piping. Next time Iโ€™ll put in the food processor. Great icing!

Made this using the freeze dries strawberries mostly because I was curious about the tase and result. I really loved it and so did the kiddos at the birthday party I made them for. Made confetti cupcakes and this paired so well and it piped so beautifully. Thank you for sharing your recipe!

I also doubled the strawberry in it and it did not give much flavor. Maybe my strawberries weren’t ripe enough and I should have used frozen or freeze dried.

Hi Fran! I haven’t personally tried it. I think it could potentially work, but it also depends on how that jam is made/ it’s consistency. I can’t say for sure how it will turn out, but if you do try it I’d love to know how it turns out. ๐Ÿ™‚

I used the fresh berries version. A lot of people make critical mistakes when following a recipe so the reviews arenโ€™t always your fault. I cook professionally and have made these simple mistakes so people make sure your double checking misplace

I very much enjoy all your videos. Wondering if you ever tried making strawberry frosting using strawberry jelly from a jar. Would that work for you you think?

Hi Chavez! Unfortunately granulated sugar will not work here.

Hi Karisma! This does already have a great strawberry flavor, but you can certainly add strawberry extract to intensify the flavor if you’d like. You should start with a small amount and taste test from there. ๐Ÿ™‚

I was looking over your recipe and planning to pair this with lemon cupcakes. I was wondering if strawberry extract could be used here if the flavor isn’t as intense. Like if I were to taste, do you think adding a teaspoon would hurt?

Hi Jenn! I don’t think the freeze dried powder would cause any issues here. I haven’t personally done it, but it should be fine. ๐Ÿ™‚

This is particularly helpful for last minute baked gifts. Would the freeze dried “dust” change texture if frozen/thawed properly?

I did the freeze dried strawberry version of this and added a bit extra of the strawberries. I used it for a vanilla cake and cupcakes for my daughter’s birthday and got SO many compliments! A couple girls said they could really taste the strawberry, and one mom said it was “DIVINE”. For some reason, it seemed to only taste better over the next couple days. A real winner! Adding a little extra helped with the sweetness, but it is still very sweet! Perfect for a five year old birthday. I’d recommend using a scale with the powdered sugar and strawberries if you can!

I’m sorry to hear this happened! I can’t seem to recreate this issue on my end. The video does start with an ad that can be skipped after 5 seconds and then the video should play. ๐Ÿ™ You can always find the videos on Youtube as well. ๐Ÿ™‚

I’m sorry to hear you didn’t enjoyed it, Kailynn! The sugar provides the structure of the frosting. Adding less can make it much softer.

So I used just the frosting recipe for a cake I had made, I used 1 cup less powdered sugar and it was still waaay too sweet. And I’m not like a health nut or anything, I enjoy a sweet here and there. I’m sorry but I wont be making this one again. For reference for anyone reading the reviews for an idea, I used freeze dried strawberries and only 3 cups powdered sugar. I’m so sorry to say this but I don’t know how its so highly reviewed (at least the frosting part)๐Ÿ˜… the flavor was there but it was almost overwhelmingly sweet๐Ÿ˜ฌ

I tried to watch it but I only got to watch a few seconds and it would go to ads ! When the multiple ads were over the video went to another video for something different! YOUR SITE HAS WAY TO MANY ADS AND DOESNT COMPLETE THE VIDEO I WANT TO WATCH ( the strawberry frosting one). I finally just gave up trying to watch the video. Can you not fix your ad problems? Very DISAPPOINTING to not be able to watch and WAY TO MANY ADS TO TRY AND WATCH A RECIPE VIDEO.

I haven’t personally tried it, but I think you could try adding a little bit of cream cheese in here. ๐Ÿ™‚
